Our Trip to Mexico

We are all home from Mexico and I know that everyone had a blast. The whole team worked very hard to make this calendar come together and I am excited for our calendar release party August 16. Rob Hawthorne takes so many different shots and its fun to see which one makes the cut and shows up in our calendar.

It was great to spend time with all the girls in Mexico and to get to know our rookies a little better. We spent a lot of time hanging out together at the pool, going out to dinner, and exploring the beach. A large group of us went snorkeling- I had only been once so it was a fun experience. We got a big boat, we all piled in, and several Cozumel tour guides took us to the reef. We saw colorful fish, a sting ray, some barracudas, and a sea turtle.

On one of the nights we did a performance for the hotel staff and guests. We had an enthusiastic audience and it’s always great to get in a few performances to warm up for our season.

My shoot was mid-week and I shot with Melissa Lopez-Aust and Kristen Sanders. However, the weather did not cooperate with us that afternoon. The three of us were in hair and makeup to get ready for the shot and a downpour started! There was a lot of thunder and lightning and I thought our shoot was going to be cancelled. Nevertheless, we proceeded with hair and makeup and eventually, the rain stopped but the sky was gray. Surprisingly, as the three of us arrived at the shoot location, a beautiful sunset appeared out of nowhere. All of the spectators were in awe of the beauty of the sunset and I hope the shot turned out well.
