Update from the Rockstarz

Hello Friends!

We just finished a kid's cheer/dance camp in Mesquite Nevada in conjunction with the Rare Breed Sport & Leadership Foundation and WOW, what a life changing experience. Rick (Denver Broncos Rock Star 80) and Donna Upchurch first and foremost are amazing! It is very inspiring to see pro athletes and their dedication to today's youth. As Rocktarz, one of our major missions is to foster confidence, fitness and enthusiasm in young women. We could not have been in a better environment to do so!

Throughout the week we not only held a dance/cheer camp for ladies ages 3-17, but helped with the celebrity golf tournament, visited the local hospital, and even went to the grand opening celebration of a local, family owned, sporting goods store to show our support in the community. With the hustle and bustle of our daily lives it can be easy to forget the impact we can have on those around us. I feel so fortunate to take part in a foundation that takes the time to make a difference. Overall I could go on for days about our trip to Mesquite but to sum it up we had a great camp and great week with AMAZING people. Thanks again to Rick, Donna and the Mesquite Rotary Club for having us. You are Rockstarz!

The Rockstarz also participated in a leadership conference for high school pom and cheer teams Saturday, June 14. We taught various workshops to further professionalism, instill confidence and encourage community evolvement. Again, we are fortunate to have such wonderful opportunities to make a difference amongst the young women of today. Theses are the ladies that inspire us to be better role models. It was a wonderful day!

More to come from the Rockstarz!

Cheers,
Heidi
