Eagles Chicks Auditions Set for Aug. 22nd

The Colorado Eagles announced that auditions for the 2010-11 edition of the Pioneer Press Colorado Eagles Chicks will take place on Sunday, August 22nd.

We're looking for young women who are dynamic, well-spoken, and talented to represent our organization and continue our streak of being named the best dance team/cheerleaders in the CHL (four years in a row!). Several Eagles Chicks have gone on to make the dance and cheer teams for the Denver Nuggets and Broncos!

AUDITION INFORMATION:

PRELIMINARIES -
Saturday, October 16 (held at Pepsi Center)
Registration: 8:30-9am (Semi-finalists announced at 3pm)
Attire: cropped dance top/sports bra and briefs. No jeans or dance pants allowed.

SEMI-FINALS -
Sunday, October 17 (held at Pepsi Center)
Individual Interviews, Photo Shoots & Dance Performance: 8:30am-1pm (Finalists announced at 4:30pm)
Attire: cropped dance top/sports bra and briefs. No jeans or dance pants allowed.

FINALISTS' TRANING CAMP DATES -
Held at Wild Bunch Practice Facility. All dates mandatory.
Monday, October 18 (7-9pm)
Wednesday, October 20 (7-9pm)
Monday, October 25 (7-9pm)
Wednesday, October 27 (7-9pm)
Attire: left to dancer’s discretion – non-marking shoes only

PLEASE NOTE: AUDITION PARTICIPANTS MUST:
*Be at least 18 years of age.
*Wear a cropped top, briefs and non-marking soled shoes.
*Submit non-returnable headshot or full body shot (at least 5x7). It does not need to be professional but must be clear and contain only the audition participant.
*Submit a dance resume including any previous dance teams, classes, or workshops, current employment/training and educational background. Also include 3 references with your resume.
*Professional looking hair and make up are encouraged.
*Reside in the Denver area and have reliable transportation to and from all Colorado Mammoth home games and Wild Bunch practices.

WILD BUNCH PREP CLASS INFORMATION & REGISTRATION:

CLASS DATES & TIMES:
Monday, October 11 (7:30-8:30pm) - held at Pepsi Center Practice Court
Wednesday, October 13 (7:30-8:30pm) - held at Pepsi Center Practice Court

Audition prep classes are designed to introduce dancers to the style of choreography performed by the Wild Bunch. Classes are open to all dancers over 16 years of age (dancers under 18 years of age will need to have a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver on their behalf).

Prep class participants will have the opportunity to speak with current Wild Bunch Dancers and have a Q&A session with the Wild Bunch Director/Choreographer, Amy Jo Wagner.

The cost of each prep class is $10 (CASH ONLY) payable at the door. Limited space is available for each class; early registration is highly recommended.

Attire: left to dancer’s discretion, but only non-marking shoes will be allowed.

Prep Class participants should park in Lot "C" on the northeast side of Pepsi Center and enter through the “Office Tower” doors on the North side of the building. Registration begins at 7pm. For your safety, please do not arrive earlier than 7pm.

*PLEASE NOTE: Enrollment in prep classes does not guarantee a position with the Wild Bunch Dance Team.

To register, please email Amy Jo Wagner at ajwagner@pepsicenter.com. Registration email should include your first name, last name and the date of the prep class/classes you’d like to attend. Dancers will be allowed to register at the door, but advanced registration is encouraged.

RockStarz Auditions 2010-2011

Over the past three years the Rocky Mountain RockStarz have made quite an impression on the Denver community. This past season was a phenomenal year for the RockStarz. They made it to the finals of MTVs America’s Best Dance Crew, raised over $1500 for charity at an exclusive Hard Rock performance, made a new partnership with the American Heart Association, performed at Irresistibly Wicked with the Denver Performing Arts Center, and so much more!

As a new season begins the RockStarz staff and alumna are excited to have an even more successful year. On Thursday, August 26th @ 7:30pm @ Michelle Latimer Dance Academy, the Rocky Mountain RockStarz will hold auditions for the 2010-2011 season by invitation only.

Where are they now - Tiler Wilkerson

Former DBC Tiler has been busy with the Sweethearts for Soldiers. The SFS is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit public charity that provides tropp entertainment overseas and stateside, produces an annual charity troop calendar and Sweet'n Your Day Gift Baskets for our female troops. They are comprised of former NFL/NBA cheerleaders and dancers from around the U.S. who have a strong passion for supporting our military. The mission of the Sweethearts' is to help raise morale and bring a touch of home to the brave men and women fighting for our freedoms.

Recently military personnel were asked to vote for the cover of the 2010 - 2011 calendar. The winning cover features Tiler front and center. Congratulations!

Nuggets Dancers at P.R.O. convention

Ultimatecheerleaders.com caught up with the Nuggets Dancers at the P.R.O. convention in Atlanta.


On the left is Nuggets Dancers Director Amy Jo Wagner. She used to dance at USA Airways Center for the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Rattlers and Phoenix Mercury.

Denver Outlaws Dancers host Femme Fridays at Jet

Denver Broncos Cheerleaders Race to Keep Kids on Track date set!

For the second year in a row, Denver Broncos Cheerleaders will race fans in high-speed karts during the 2nd Annual Race to Keep Kids on Track August 14, 2010. Presented by the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders, the race and 2011 Calendar Release will raise funds to support The Kempe Foundation for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect and Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.

The event will kick off on August 13 with VIP and cheerleader qualifying time trials at The Track, Centennial, CO, open to event sponsors and VIP guests only. The race and calendar release party will open to the public starting at 5 p.m. on August 14. Local celebrities, Denver Broncos Cheerleaders, and Broncos Alumni will attend the event.

Racers will have a chance to win great prizes and all attendees will receive a complimentary 2011 Denver Broncos Cheerleaders Calendar, autographs, food, and beverages.

The inaugural event in 2009 raised $20,000 for Denver Broncos Youth Center at the Denver Rescue Mission and Project PAVE.

The Belles of Pridefest

One of the Belles Performance Teams' favorite events each year is the Denver Pridefest Parade. BPT partner Planet Beach Contempo Spa has an entry every year that gets all ages in attendance smiling, the pink Planet Beach stretch limo is always a welcome sight!





The Planet Beach limo and Ms. Planet Beach Gen-X Colorado Cher Fox (also Owner and Executive Director of the Belles Performance Team) are featured in this year's Pridefest teaser video.



As they did last year, the Belles Performance Team can be seen performing in front of the limousine all along the parade route. In addition, this year, they will be handing out free 2010 Limited Edition Calendars.

The parade begins at Cheesman Park and rolls down Colfax into Civic Center Park. Stay after the parade and enjoy all the fun and entertainment Pridefest has to offer, including Grammy-nominated American female R&B vocal quartet En Vogue. The Belles hope to see you this Sunday, June 20th at 9 am and wish everyone Happy Pride!
